Dominican Assist combines local medical coordination in the Dominican Republic with
the international operational experience of Repatria Medica.
Dominican Assist adheres to the following Medical Protocols.
Our activity and operations is based on internationally recognized medical transport, aviation
medicine and maritime health standards, including:
* IATA Medical Manual.
* FAA Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI).
* ILO / IMO Guidelines on the Medical Examinations of Seafarers.
* Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006).
* STCW Convention and Code (Standards of Training, Certification and
Watchkeeping for Seafarers).
* International Medical Guide for Ships de la Organización Mundial de la
Salud (OMS)
These frameworks guide the medical evaluation of patients and seafarers, the assessment
of fitness to travel and the safe coordination of medical transport.
Each case is evaluated individually to determine the safest and most appropriate conditions
for medical management and medical transfer if necessary.
